The steps to follow for the Supreme Court in the Oaxaca Case
The Supreme Court determined in August 2007 to undertake an investigation about Serious Violations to Individual Rights related to the Case of Oaxaca. The investigation was to cover the dates May 2006 to January 31 2007, and the 16 and 17 of July 2007.
The Investigation Commission was established in August 2007 and continues to the present date. This Commission has been responsible for: Requesting documentation, investigating the involvement of individuals or legal entities, reviewing documents in public offices, asking for the technical support of specialists, and from these documents establishing the relationship of the elements of conviction, analyzing the evidence and presenting the conclusions. Those conclusions were presented today before the entire court in the Preliminary Report.
